Not so normal day. Excitement was all over the place. Then all the crap started to set in. I was letting myself get bothered by every little stinkin thing. I know who it is. I know why it was happening. I'm standing in front of people, they can see that I'm getting upset. I'm such an idiot. I'm letting it control me. I'm not perfect. I know I'm better than that. I know he wants me to give in. God was standing right there in front of me saying " don't let it take you. Take a breathe, calm down. Why did you think he would do anything else. On a day like today he would want nothing more than to try and take your joy away. Don't let it take you."

Last night at the Grove. Bittersweet is all I have to say. Our band got there a little early to practice for our first preview service. Which is next Sunday morning! I can't wait. I'm so excited because we now have a new addition to the band. Kevin is awesome. I'm so glad that he could come and help. Next week Pastor Bobby starts a series called "The Pretender" and I'm stoked about it. The band has a very exciting song that goes along right with it! Our drummer/camera man/anything you need done he will do it Nick Milleris so stinkin funny. He can totally sing this song and sound awesome! He is helping us out on the song. It's going to be awesome! We mellowed out last night. It was very intimate and relaxing. Here is the set list.

Sorry I'm a weak behind. The lingering of snot and crap has not left yet. Still trying to get my sleep caught up. As I sit here right now in the past 5 minutes I have coughed about 20-30 times. Not just a little throat clearing but a deep down croop cough. It sucks! Guess what. This Sunday night will be our last night at "The Grove". A little sad but a lot more exciting. Officially as of March 22nd we will begin meeting at "The Double Tree Hotel" in Oak Ridge. Can't wait! Here was the set list from last week!

Guess what....it's back! Current status, we will be launching in April and we have a home. A wonderful home! The Double Tree Hotel here in Oak Ridge. It's going to be amazing! I can't wait to see what it's going to look like! My friend Melissa is going to due an amazing job im sure of making the stage look awesome! Chris,Pastor Bobby and Matt were supposed to head down to Georgia this past weekend and pick up our stage but the sickness has hit us all very hard these past couple of weeks! Im praying that we all get completely better fast! Sunday night we were back at "The Grove" and rocked it out. Here is the set list.

So today is my last day at Legends Event Photo. A little sad...and I mean a little. As of next week I will be working at Oak Ridge High School. I'm so excited about it. I have always been so jealous at the hours teachers and school workers had. Now I have them. Summers off, spring break, winter break, fall break. You name it, I have it off. Oak Ridge never gets out for snow, so not banking on that! Update on Matt. Last week he found out that he could possibly have another job lined up at the beginning of march. Darren Light, an amazing friend that we used to go to church with has a business but wants to stay at his daytime job. So when he heard Matt was jobless he offered an amazing job with him. Totally a God thing. Never expected that! God is so amazing.

If you don't know my husband you wouldn't understand how die hard Starbucks he is. Matt would probably die for Starbucks. He has worked there for over 2 and half years now and has loved every single minute of it. Yesterday he found out that his along with all 836 assistant manager positions had been illuminated. As of February 25 Matt will no longer be employed by Starbucks coffee. I'm not going to lie, it sucks. BIG TIME. Not in my wildest dreams did I ever think it would happen to Matt. I guess it's just scary because he is the money maker of our family. Please pray for us as we start on this wild journey of job hunting. This morning one of my best friends, Denira, emailed me a song that I sing all the time. Desert song by hillsong. I have sung this song about a million times but not until this morning did I actually realize what the bridge of that song means.

I have to keep repeating that over and over and over in my head.

Disappointments

You have those moments where it seems like everything is not really panning out. Well that's me at the moment. I get really discouraged about my job. I'm very fortunate to have one but I'm not sure how much longer I can take it. My "office" hours got cut about 2 weeks ago. So pretty much to get the hours that I need, I have to work almost every photo-shoot that comes our way. This means, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday I have to work on location. I don't mind working on location but not all the time. Other things are going on that I shouldn't get my hopes up for, but of course I do. I'm so glad that god grants us patience. I have to keep on telling myself that God doesn't go on MY TIME, he goes on his. So please keep Matt and I in your prayers as we go through some very confusing times and pray that God gives us patience.

I would have posted this Tuesday but my brain has been a little occupied with SNOT!
This is the last one you'll see for a couple of weeks. As of this past Sunday The Ridge Community Church will be going to training/getting out there mode. This Sunday night will be a night of training. We have so much stuff that goes on before a service. Stage set-up, sound equip, lights, chairs, media and internet campus. So our wonderful volunteers are getting in the action. Im very excited about it! The next Sunday will be our "Blanket Day". In 1 month, 1 week and 2 days The Ridge Community Church will officially launch! In the words of Andy Bernard "AAAAOOOOOO"

Oh the common cold. Well not for me. I HATE being sick. This time it hit me like a ton of bricks. Out of nowhere I'm getting these urges to cough. Sunday night is when it started. I just felt.....BLAH!!!! So didn't sleep. Poor Matt had to get up at 4am and all I did that night was whine. Sorry Matt. So here it is Tuesday afternoon and it's still around. AHHHHHHH!

Sunday Mornings

Ever since I can remember, I have been getting up on Sunday mornings and going to church. Since "the ridge" has started meeting on Sunday nights I find my Sunday mornings to be very, how do you say it..OPEN! This past Sunday I discovered something that I would like to continue. Here's the game plan.

Get up rather early. Ok maybe not that early. 8:00 am

Go to Starbucks and see my wonderful husband, since he works every Sunday morning. Get my usual. Grande, non-fat, no-whip pumpkin spice latte. Dig into God's word preparing for Sunday night. There is no telling what God will tell me when I just give him my time, and I mean ALL of it!

Go exercise. Yep, I said it! Exercise for over an hour.

Freshen up.

Then head over to "the grove" to start setting up for "the ridge".
